Sports Authority Implements Google Cloud Platform

Google Cloud Platform is going to have a benchmark deal with the popular American sporting goods retailer, Sports Authority. According to Google Sports Authority will be able to handle 2, 000 transaction per day with Google Cloud Platform.

Sports Authority wants to let their customers to see if their desired items were in stock at Sports Authority store nearby. Sports Authority's inventory data was stored in old IBM mainframe servers. So achieving this goal is not easy. But Sports Authority was able to build a real-time inventory system exporting data from mainframe servers to Google Cloud Platform with the support of their talented developers.

And now Sports Authority use the same inventory to Google Chromebox PC (a kiosk system powered by Google) located at their stores. This proves now Google Cloud Platform is ready to compete with Other Cloud Services.
